Hey there! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Aubree Parker, and my passion is learning, and helping others learn, all about pregnancy, birth, child development, and parenting.
I have found after talking to many moms, that there are plenty of parenting resources, but more often than not, those various resources conflict with each other.
Cry it out? Don’t cry it out?
Time out? No time outs?
The questions are endless!
It is my goal to provide trustworthy, RESEARCH-based answers to these tough questions, to help YOU become the best mom that you can be.
I make sure to add in my own experiences too, so that you know that I have used, and LOVED, the different strategies that I share, and that I am not just regurgitating information at you.
No one wants to sit down and just read a research article, so I hope that you will find the answers to your questions, both informative AND enjoyable to read.
I want to help YOU.
I have found that my readers appreciate my unique view on parenting since I have a little boy who is autistic and has sensory processing disorder, while my little girl is neurotypical without those challenges that my son has.
Because of that, I am able to provide insight on research that I have found on numerous aspects of pregnancy and parenting through the toddler/preschool years, but what I like doing the most is answering YOUR questions.
Being a mom is hard enough already, so I want to make sure that the answers that you’re looking for are as easily accessible as can be.
But what even makes me qualified to write on these topics?
Well, first and foremost I am a mom. I haven’t been a parent for long (3+ years now), but I have experienced a lot already in those years.
I also have a B.S. in Family Life: Family Studies from Brigham Young University, and that is where I met my husband, Adam. I have been blessed to study some midwifery and even help deliver a few babies! I love finding the scientific answers to basic problems in parenting and then use what I find to help those around me.
My husband and I are blessed to have 2 sweet children–a boy and a girl, 22 months apart, and they make our lives fun (all while testing our sanity)! We are Latter-day Saints (LDS) or in other words, Mormon. We love God and Jesus Christ, and we are always trying to teach our children about the love the Savior has for them.
I spend my time chasing my kids, constantly playing catch-up with laundry, and trying to find joy in life amid the crumbs that surround me. I hope I can use my passion for research to answer any questions YOU might have and help make life just a little bit easier for you throughout your pregnancy and parenting journey! Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any specific questions or comments that you would like to share with me! firstname.lastname@example.org
